Title: Robot Arm Control System (UR and 3D scanner project)

Content: The robotic arm control system is equipped with a 3D vision camera, as the 3D vision system is able to recognize irregular shape object or even transparent material and calculate the optimal path for Robotic arm. The path should avoid any collision in order to let Robotic arm to grab randomly placed objects.

Through hands-on experience with robotic arm control systems, students will learn to create automated work cells that are ideally suited for flexible manufacturing systems and computer-integrated manufacturing.

Robot system composed of

• Industrial robotic arm

• 3D vision system

• 3D vision camera

• Teach pendant (touchscreen and the emergency stop button)

• Programmable logic controller (PLC) programs
