Introduction: WYE was responsible for managing the system migration from an OMRON PLC control system to a Mitsubishi PLC control system, Mitsubishi Electric Automation is one of the Solution Partner of WYE. Because the legacy OMRON code was incompatible with the new hardware, WYE engineered the entire automation program from scratch. The project encompassed complete hardware and software redesigns, including cable management, control cabinet layouts, and HMI integration to ensure smooth operation experience at the operator workstation.

Results

The successful migration from OMRON to Mitsubishi PLC controls provides the client with a modernized, fully supported automation platform. The newly integrated HMI and workstation button layout greatly improves operator ergonomics and control efficiency.
